Our Story

Growing up, I, Jamelene Whitfield (CEO), faced many battles with mental health and self-love. There were days when getting out of bed felt impossible and moments when the weight of the world seemed too heavy to bear. In those times, I longed for a sense of belonging, a community where I felt understood, supported, and loved for who I was. I realized that I wasn't alone in these struggles—many teens and young adults faced similar challenges, yearning for connection and understanding.

The vision was clear:

Create a brand that not only offered clothing and accessories but also served as a beacon of hope and support for those dealing with mental health.

I wanted Jamabean to be a place where people could find comfort, inspiration, and a reminder that they are not alone.

Jamabean, LLC is more than a brand; it is a movement dedicated to abolishing the negative stigmas associated with mental health.

The products that we plan to design will be planned with care and intention; they will feature positive messages, symbols of mental health awareness, and reminders of self-love. Each will be a conversation starter, a tool to spread awareness and foster understanding.

BUT Jamabean goes beyond products!

We are committed to building a supportive community where individuals can connect, share their stories, and find strength in each other's experiences.

Through future social events, future workshops, and an active online presence, this will provide an abyss for engagement and support.

At Jamabean, we believe that by focusing on what we can control—our minds—we can navigate life's challenges with greater ease.

We know that life happens, but with a supportive community and the right tools, we can all find balance and resilience.

Our mission is to empower teens and young adults to prioritize their mental health, embrace self-love, and feel confident in their journey.

Join us at Jamabean, LLC, and be a part of a community that understands, supports, and uplifts.

Together, we can create:

A world where mental health is openly discussed, positively represented, and where everyone feels a true sense of belonging and strength.

Mission:

Join us at Jamabean Mental Health Project in building a community where mental health challenges are met with support, empathy, and empowerment. Together, let's create spaces where individuals feel seen, valued, and inspired to heal, grow, and enjoy life more fully.

Vision:

We envision a world where everyone has access to the support they need to manage their mental health, and we are committed to fostering a culture of empathy, understanding, and collective healing. At Jamabean, we believe in empowering individuals to face mental health challenges together — with strength, joy, and resilience.
